Ten Things Every Boss Wants
Tuesday Jun 01, 2021
Tuesday Jun 01, 2021
Do you know what your boss wants? If you are a boss, do your teammates know what you want?
In this episode, David Morrison and I try to answer this question. We've come up with a list of "Ten Things Every Boss Wants." However, we think our list is probably half-baked. So we need your help to finalize this list!
How can you help? By joining our new LinkedIn group called "Team Leader Playbook." This is a private group, so no comments will be searchable or public on the LinkedIn platform. We want to create a community of team leaders who take their role seriously, who care, and who want to be clear. So, head on over to the Team Leader Playbook and jump in on this conversation!

David Morrison joins me in the studio for a candid conversation about Kim Scott's book, "Radical Candor."
See what I did there? Candid and candor.
Clever, huh?
No? It's not?
Okay, sorry.
Anyway, check it out if for no other reason than to hear the first cuss words ever spoken on an episode of Here's What I'm Seeing. Thank you, David; this episode will forever have that little "E" next to it.

There are four generations in the workforce right now. Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, Millenials, and Gen Z (sometimes called the iGeneration).
Today on the podcast, Will McIlroy joins Adam as they seek to answer the question, "What does Gen Z want from its leaders?"
Will is an expert on Gen Z. Why? Because he's a card-carrying member!
Will is 22 years old, and his insight will help anyone responsible for leading and developing this next generation.
You're going to love Will; however, don't ever expect him to send you a letter or write you a check.

“Companies put return to work plans in motion” - That was a recent headline in the New York Times.
As infection rates drop and the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine continues to increase, organizations are starting to think about post-pandemic life.
This is presenting leaders with a challenge. The team that went into quarantine in the Spring of 2020 will not be the same team returning to the office in 2021 or 2022.
During this episode, we share three principles we are finding helpful as we prepare for WorkLife 3.0.

Stress, The Panic Monster, and You
Monday Mar 01, 2021
Monday Mar 01, 2021
Have you ever been at work and found yourself "triggered?" Heart racing. Palms sweaty. Shallow breathing.
During those triggered moments, have you ever then said or done something that you later regretted? Yelled at someone. Sent a firey email. Said something embarrassing.
Leadership is stressful, which is why we wanted to record this episode talking about Stress, The Panic Monster, and You.
Every day you and I are going to face situations that might "trigger" us. Fortunately, we can do some simple things to make sure when these events happen, we don't say or do something we later regret.
Thank you to Jeff Strese and Cynthia Culver for their contributions to today's episode.
Also, a huge shout-out to Aaron Rose for his amazing editing and mixing skills. His creativity and artistry shine like crazy in today's episode. This is a special edition episode, and I think you all are going to like it.
